Yesterday we had a Black Monday type sell-off in the Crypto market. It all started after the Salvadoran President bought Bitcoin, making Salvador the first country to adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender. Bitcoin hit a four-month high of $52,944 and had an intraday low of $42,830, -19%. The other cyptos follow suit, $LTC.X intraday loss -27%, $ETH.X intraday loss -23%. The markets are at all-time highs or a stone's throw away from all-time highs, but underlying breadth is not what you expect it to be, with indices at highs. This reminded me of August 2015 when the SP500 was at highs, but most individual names were in the gutter. At the time, the bloggers were pointing out how the SP500 A-D line was at highs, and everything was fine. What a week! GameStop has caused a stir on Wall Street, Main Street, and Capitol Hill. There's not one person, child, or animal that has not talked about GameStop this week.
