Currently, there are 17 stocks in Investors Business Daily's Near Pivot scan. IBD defines near pivot as a stock that is forming a base with an intraday high 0% to 5% below their pivot price. I like to track this list because I believe that a lot of the names are actionable before they reach their "pivot" level. $NGVT is one that I believe is actionable for a swing trade if it can get thru today's high of 110.66 with a sell stop at 109.70. Notice how the moving averages were acting as resistance as the price was below and now with price finally above them they are curling higher.
